[Interview] George Reefah
We did an interview with new artist George Reefah. All I have to say is that I see him becoming a big artist. I'll let George tell you all about his self.KWJ: George, tell us about yourself? Let the people know who you are?
George: Aight, 4sho...Im a Hip Hop Writer, Producer and Label Head by profession. Im originally from Toronto, Canada. Though I did not come from an extensive music background per say, I was greatly influenced by music growing up. Every family member who I grew up with not only listened to a lot of music but they all listened to different types of music. I had an older brother who loved a lot of 90's hip hop, and older sister who liked 80's R&B and parents who loved 60's and 70's soul, and I was lucky enough to be the little kid soaking up all of these different styles of music. By the time I was old enough it felt very natural to make music because i found it so easy. I've been writing and producing hip hop for the past 5 years now and i have had pretty good success thus far in Canada and other countries around the world. Im now at the point where Im taking my talent to the grandest level and exposing it to millions of people worldwide.
KWJ: How long have you rapping? When did you know it was something that you wanted to do?
George: I've been jotting down lyrics since I was about 12 but it wasn't until much later did I decide that It was something that I wanted to do for a living. I was an avid basketball player growing up and it was around the time when I realized that the D1 scholarship and a future NBA career was probably not going to happen when I started to take my skill as a Hip Hop writer seriously.
